A new community initiative led by Co-Regional Managers Lauren and Amelia is creating opportunities for lifelong learning in Seoul.

HELLO Trust Seoul has held its first English education session for elderly community members, marking the start of a new weekly initiative focused on learning and community engagement.

Led by Co-Regional Managers Lauren and Amelia, the sessions will take place every Friday, providing elderly participants with an opportunity to practise English and develop their language skills in a supportive environment.

The initiative reflects HELLO Trust’s commitment to creating meaningful opportunities within local communities. By making learning more accessible, the Seoul team hopes to encourage participants to build confidence in using English while enjoying the experience of learning alongside others.

For Lauren and Amelia, leading the sessions is also an opportunity to put youth leadership into practice through a hands-on community initiative. Rather than limiting service to one-off activities, the weekly format allows the team to maintain consistent engagement and build relationships with the people they support.

The first session marks the beginning of this ongoing effort. As the programme continues, HELLO Trust Seoul will work to make each Friday session a welcoming space for elderly learners to practise, participate, and continue developing their skills.

Through initiatives like this, HELLO Trust aims to encourage lifelong learning and strengthen connections within the communities it serves.
