HELLO Trust is proud to announce the official launch of HELLO Trust Seoul - our first branch in South Korea and a significant milestone in the organization's global expansion!

This new branch represents HELLO Trust's commitment to empowering youth leaders while supporting underserved communities across the world. With a focused mission to serve underprivileged children and local families in Seoul, HELLO Trust Seoul will serve as a key hub for the organization's long-term growth and impact in the region.

Leadership

At the helm of HELLO Trust Seoul are two founding Co-Regional Managers who bring a wealth of experience, diverse international perspectives, and a shared dedication to community impact.

Amelia Poon – Founding Co-Regional Manager

Amelia brings a strong background in student leadership, community fundraising, and cross-cultural engagement. She has supported charitable initiatives for displaced families in the Philippines and has served on student council since Year 5, most recently as House Secretary in Year 9. Her experience in organizing and leadership will be instrumental in building HELLO Trust Seoul from the ground up.

Lauren Zhang-Kim – Founding Co-Regional Manager

Lauren brings diverse international experience, having lived across multiple countries before settling permanently in South Korea. She has led clubs in chess and sports tournaments, served as Vice House Captain, and worked as a volunteer teacher during her free time. With a black belt pursuit in Taekwondo and a passion for writing and the sciences, Lauren embodies the energy and dedication that HELLO Trust seeks to cultivate in young leaders.

Together, Amelia and Lauren will lead the Seoul branch in its initial phase, focusing on building partnerships, recruiting members, and launching community-driven projects that serve local underprivileged populations.

Strategic Importance

HELLO Trust Seoul marks the organization's first step into South Korea, a country with a vibrant youth culture and growing interest in social impact and volunteerism. By establishing a presence in Seoul, HELLO Trust aims to:

  • Empower South Korean youth to take on leadership roles in community service.

  • Provide structured support to underprivileged children and families in the Seoul area.

  • Create a replicable model for future expansion across other South Korean cities.

  • Strengthen HELLO Trust's presence in Asia, complementing existing branches in China, Japan, and other regions.

Looking Ahead

The launch of HELLO Trust Seoul is just the beginning. In the coming months, the branch will focus on:

  • Recruiting founding members and volunteers.

  • Identifying local community partners and underserved populations.

  • Launching initial service projects and fundraising initiatives.

  • Building a sustainable leadership pipeline for long-term impact.

HELLO Trust extends its warmest welcome to Amelia, Lauren, and the entire Seoul team. We look forward to seeing the branch grow, serve, and inspire - and to the many ways it will contribute to HELLO Trust's mission of redesigning how communities support those in need, while empowering the next generation of leaders.
