HELLO Trust’s Beijing branch welcomed the Chinese New Year with a heartfelt celebration at the RenYuYuan campus (仁育苑), bringing together volunteers, supporters, and children for an afternoon filled with music, joy, and community.

On January 30, our Beijing Co-Regional Manager Hanna organised a special event to celebrate the end of the Year of the Snake and the arrival of the new year. Six HELLO Trust members joined the celebration, spending the day with the wonderful children of RenYuYuan and helping create a festive atmosphere filled with warmth and connection.

The highlight of the event was a lively performance by the BIBA High School Band, who had spent weeks preparing for the occasion. Their powerful music brought energy to the room and set the tone for a truly memorable afternoon. The children of RenYuYuan also took the stage, sharing performances that brought smiles and applause from everyone present.

The celebration welcomed nearly 50 attendees, including some of RenYuYuan’s most dedicated donors and volunteers. Together, the community gathered to ensure that the children - especially those who are orphans or unable to celebrate the holiday with their families - could experience the joy and excitement of Chinese New Year.

From 1:30 PM to 6:00 PM, the campus was filled with laughter, music, and the spirit of togetherness. It was a meaningful opportunity for everyone involved to celebrate the past year while welcoming the new one with hope and positivity.

Events like this reflect HELLO Trust’s mission to strengthen communities and create inclusive experiences where every child feels supported, valued, and celebrated. The Beijing team is proud to have been part of such a special day and looks forward to many more moments of connection and impact in the year ahead.
