Report by: Josiah Yin, Regional Manager of HELLO Trust Hengqin

Established in November 2025, HELLO Trust’s Hengqin Branch hit the ground running. In just under two months, the team launched three impactful initiatives that reflect the organization’s commitment to youth leadership, community engagement, and sustainable impact.

Eco-Denim x Heart2Heart

In partnership with Heart2Heart, the Hengqin Branch introduced a sustainable denim collection that brought together fashion, inclusion, and environmental responsibility.

Autistic and disabled children participated in the creative process, contributing to a collection designed with purpose. Each pair of jeans uses 70% less water than traditional denim, achieved through recycled water systems and eco-washing techniques - supporting UN Sustainable Development Goals 11 (Sustainable Cities and Communities) and 13 (Climate Action).

Ten percent of profits from the collection are donated to charity, making every purchase an act of kindness and conscious consumption.

Flower Shop

The branch also launched a student-run flower shop, an initiative that combined creativity with fundraising. Through this project, the team raised over $700, demonstrating how small, student-led ventures can generate meaningful support for broader community efforts.

SportsDay

To bring the community together, the Hengqin team organized SportsDay - a simple yet powerful event centered around movement, connection, and shared experience. The gathering offered an opportunity for students and local residents to engage in a relaxed, active setting while strengthening community bonds.

Looking Ahead In less than two months, the Hengqin Branch proved what young leaders can accomplish when given the platform and resources to act. Each initiative, whether focused on sustainability, fundraising, or community building, reflected the branch’s dedication to creating tangible impact.

As the team looks toward 2026, they remain committed to expanding their efforts, deepening partnerships, and continuing to serve as a force for positive change in the Hengqin community.

HELLO Trust is a youth-led platform dedicated to supporting neurodiverse children and empowering young people to lead with impact.
