HELLO Trust Shanghai, founded on September 1, 2024, is an official branch of the global HELLO Trust organization. Based on our research and surveys, we have found significant concerns in Shanghai's community: The sense of belonging. According to the research, the size of a class in kindergarden is 25-35 students, it's tough when class sizes get so big that some kids struggle to find friends or feel a sense of belonging. In addition, we found out in Shanghai, there are 5 orphanage, and each orphanage include more than 600 orphan, such large numbers mean that many individuals might not receive the attention and care they need.
To address those issues, HELLO Trust Shanghai aims to build a sense of collectiveness, trust, and belonging within the community, in line with the global vision of the HELLO Trust organization. Our goal is to engage with the members of our community, visiting kindergartens to bring joy and educational support to the children. We also plan to help orphanages by providing resources, mentoring, and emotional support to make sure every child feels valued, cared for, and belonging.
