On August 15, 2026, HELLO Trust Shanghai completed its first community initiative — a hands-on effort to support Hearts to Hearts, a local organisation serving families in need.
A recent typhoon had severely impacted Hearts to Hearts' warehouse, leaving large quantities of supplies water-damaged and scattered. In response, four HELLO Trust Shanghai members, joined by two volunteers, dedicated their time to sorting through the affected inventory.
The team carefully separated dry, salvageable items and relocated them to secure storage areas. Damaged goods were cleared, and each remaining item was individually inspected to ensure nothing usable was overlooked. What appeared to be a straightforward task required meticulous attention and physical effort.
Through this initiative, HELLO Trust Shanghai aimed to accelerate Hearts to Hearts' recovery process, helping ensure that usable supplies could be redistributed to those in need as quickly as possible.
The three-hour session was physically demanding — but the team's focus remained on the task at hand. At the conclusion of the day, the team placed a box of supplies they had purchased themselves into the warehouse, as a small gesture of commitment to the community they hope to serve.
This first initiative was not marked by fanfare or ceremony. It was defined by quiet dedication, teamwork, and a willingness to step in where help was needed most. For HELLO Trust Shanghai, it was a meaningful beginning.
